As an M&E Project Coordinator, you will manage several activities and deadlines to meet and exceed the project needs. - Support the project team with planning and coordination for all on-site mechanical and electrical activities while keeping compliance of specifications, requirements and codes top of mind,
- Put your proactive problem-solving skills to work to coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference issues,
- Provide strong organization through the maintenance of schedule requirements and priorities, mechanical and electrical RFI’s, shop drawings, contracts, and project completion documents,
- Push and optimize work sequences to continuously improve the project schedule,
- Share your mechanical and electrical expertise when working with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients,
- Be the go-to person for the organization and facilitation of mechanical and electrical coordination and interference meetings,
- Search for and develop innovative approaches to the execution of the M&E work to improve competitiveness and budget expectations,
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the market and act as Pomerleau’s resource for current pricing of M&E scope,
- Request bids and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and budget adherence,
- Coordinate contract changes,
- Package Operation & Maintenance manuals,
- Prepare and complete quality documentation and coordination with project team,
- Commissioning coordination between client and subcontractors,
- Look ahead schedule updates,
- Keep drawings and specifications updated with latest contractual documentation,
- Chair coordination meetings related to M&E subtrades,

- Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in the Civil & Infrastructure or Construction industry,
- A University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and industry experience,
- A proven track record of mechanical and electrical coordination and team collaboration,
- Experience in estimating considered a strong asset,
- Solid written and verbal communication skills,
- Strong computer skills with enthusiasm for innovation, and
- Knowledge of the British Columbia market and ability to travel to our work sites.
