Gobind Sarvar Brampton is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-27 academic session to lead our Health and Physical Education program in Grades 1 through 8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy active living in a safe and inclusive environment.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Teaching experience is mandatory; applications without prior teaching experience will not be considered.
- Experience teaching Physical Education across multiple grade levels is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Health and Physical Education curriculum, including physical literacy, fitness development, movement competence, and health education.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster skill development, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Proficiency in implementing assessment strategies to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Must be fluent in English with excellent oral, written, and reading communication skills.
- OCT certification is recommended; applicants who have applied for OCT will also be considered.
- Strong classroom and gymnasium management skills, with an emphasis on safety and inclusive participation.
- Willingness to support school events, coordinate physical activity programs, and work collaboratively with staff and families.
