Reporting directly to the Guest Experience Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team by example toward achieving goals and objectives by delivering retail sales and winery experiences that build brand loyalty while driving sustainable profitability. To work in partnership ensuring all aspects of tasting room and restaurant operations including programs and initiatives are aligned with winery brand strategy.
- Leverage tasting bar and retail program to drive sales and achieve or exceed required results of revenue, expenses and hospitality as well as wine club memberships.
- Support service team ensuring food service and patio are first class and special events are well executed.
- Supervising the team to maintain a positive work environment fostering teamwork in driving required results. Daily, Weekly communications with team as well as management on initiatives. Staff Scheduling.
- Administration - Monitor and maintain sundry orders. (janitorial, water, office supplies) Petty Cash, Interior Health - water, courier, emails. Maintain wine & non-wine inventory integrity.
- Work with manager to promote brand and destination to increase awareness of winery to be known as a place to visit within the community and out in the broader space (trip advisor etc).
- Grade 12
- 1-3 Years previous guest service experience (Winery Experience Preferred)
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal & communications skills
- Professional attitude & presentation, a strong work ethic; ability to multi task, self-motivated
- Be available and willing to work weekends and holidays
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Solid wine knowledge both local and international (WSET Level II / III an Asset)
- Valid Serving It Right certificate.
- Understanding of social media platforms, trends and opportunities an asset
- Good understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office and other Computer Software Programs
- Must be able to lift 40 lb cases of wine - Able to stand for long periods of time
