Schedule and Shift Requirements
The regular shift is Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Candidates must also be flexible and available to work extended or alternate shifts based on production requirements, including:
- Day shifts of up to 12 hours between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Night shifts of up to 12 hours between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
- Additional hours and occasional weekends, as required
Position Summary
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming materials, preparing orders for shipment, moving products throughout the facility, and supporting inventory and quality-control activities. This position also helps ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming products and materials.
- Accurately label and store items in their assigned locations.
- Report any discrepancies between deliveries, packing slips, and invoices.
- Organize inventory and apply FIFO (first in, first out) controls where required.
- Operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load, unload, and transport products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Prepare and stage orders for shipment.
- Perform routine physical inventory counts according to established schedules.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including loading docks and receiving areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, Ontario OHSA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures.
- Use all required personal protective equipment.
- Perform other warehouse and production-support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Reach Truck/Forklift Licence is required.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between both Gather Packaging facilities during the workday are required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum two years of warehouse experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 35 lb.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be flexible and able to work extended day or night shifts when required.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
