Midland Food is a dynamic and growing frozen seafood wholesale distributor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in delivering high-quality frozen seafood and food products to restaurants, retail markets and other food service businesses.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our operations team.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments from suppliers; verify quantities and inspect goods for damage
- Sort and place products in designated warehouse locations according to established procedures
- Pick and prepare orders accurately based on customer order sheets
- Pack and label products for outbound shipment and coordinate handoff to logistics carriers
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with annual full inventory counts
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Use barcode scanners and warehouse management systems to record stock movement
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and logistics team to meet daily throughput targets
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, logistics or food distribution experience is an asset
- Ability to work in a refrigerated / frozen environment
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy goods (up to 50 lbs) on a sustained basis
- Forklift license
- Basic computer or barcode scanner operation skills
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) preferred
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
