Duties
- Deliver comprehensive live interactive online lessons on pharmacy assistant topics, including medication management, customer service, and pharmacy operations
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate interactive activities and real-life scenarios to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and practical demonstrations, providing constructive feedback to support growth
- Facilitate hands-on training sessions to develop technical skills such as medication dispensing and inventory management
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum content and teaching methods aligned with industry standards
- Support students in preparing for certification exams and career placement opportunities in the pharmacy field
- Track attendance and participation with the use of the virtual learning infrastructure
Qualifications
- Relevant diploma or post-secondary education from an accredited institution in the language of instruction (English)
- 3 years of fulltime work experience in a career occupation relevant to a pharmacy setting
- Licensed with the College of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC)
- Strong experience in curriculum development and instructional design
- Proven classroom experience with a strong background in teaching or training adults or students in related fields
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management, or healthcare settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse learner groups
- Demonstrated ability to design effective lesson plans and assess student performance accurately
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple classes and training activities effectively
- Passion for education and mentoring aspiring pharmacy professionals
