Sky Blue Water Inc. is a Bottling Company that produces and manages private label bottled water programs for many large retail customers. Our bottling operation has an opening for a full-time QA Technician working 8 hours per day on rotating shifts of either day, evening or overnight.
Job duties:
- Start and/or stop the production line.
- Perform sanitation duties and pre-operational inspections.
- Perform QC monitoring during production periods.
- Collect samples to perform microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic analysis.
- Perform equipment calibrations.
- Perform food safety and quality systems verifications and inspection.
- Accurately record results.
- Maintain retention sample inventory.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist operators with daily production.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies and qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Previous working in food manufacturing or lab experience would be an asset.
- Working proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba class 5 driver's licence.
- Must be able and willing to work various hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 kgs.
