Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Registered Massage Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with physiotherapists to deliver rehabilitative massage services tailored to each patient’s needs. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes by providing targeted massage therapy that complements their recovery process. Duties
- Perform therapeutic massage treatments including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and improve function
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate massage techniques based on individual needs and conditions
- Educate patients on self-care strategies and injury prevention techniques related to occupational health and daily activities
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and healthcare team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and clinical notes using medical terminology
- Ensure a welcoming, professional environment that prioritizes patient service and comfort
- Stay current with industry best practices and expand your skills through ongoing professional development
Experience
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing body
- Proven experience in patient service, customer care, and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Hands-on experience with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa environments is a plus
- Previous work in physiotherapy clinics or medical settings is highly desirable
