Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring that all grounds are well-kept, healthy, and visually appealing. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques. Experience with horticulture, gardening, and mechanical tools is highly valued.
Duties
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, prune trees, and perform general landscaping tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and other construction machinery safely and efficiently
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, fertilizing, and soil preparation
- Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with landscape construction projects including planting beds, retaining walls, and other structures
- Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy plant growth and pest control
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and dispose of debris appropriately
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment such as excavators and power tools
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of construction practices related to landscape projects is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment operation or transportation purposes
