Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Florist to join our team, bringing creativity, horticultural expertise, and exceptional customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral design, landscape maintenance, and retail sales, with the ability to create beautiful arrangements that meet customer expectations. Duties
- Design and assemble floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal
- Assist customers with selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design options
- Manage point-of-sale transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain the floral display area, ensuring it is attractive, organized, and well-stocked
- Support landscape maintenance activities as needed to uphold the overall appearance of the store’s exterior and surrounding gardens
- Handle merchandising tasks such as product placement, inventory management, and e-commerce order fulfillment
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication skills in English and multilingual capabilities if applicable
- Engage in retail sales efforts to promote seasonal offerings, gift items, and floral subscriptions
- Assist with gardening and horticulture tasks to ensure healthy plant displays both indoors and outdoors
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on daily operations and special projects
Skills
- Proven experience as a Florist with strong floral design skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and retail sales techniques
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening practices, and horticulture principles
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; multilingual skills are a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage clients professionally and courteously
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online flower ordering and sales processing
- Effective communication skills for collaborating within a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
