Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts inventory, assisting customers with their parts needs, and supporting the service and sales departments. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a strong understanding of automotive parts and repair processes. Previous dealership experience and familiarity with Reynolds ERA-IGNITE are highly preferred to ensure efficient operations and superior customer service.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts through effective communication and product knowledge
- Manage inventory levels, track parts orders, and ensure timely fulfillment
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and billing procedures
- Maintain organized records of sales, returns, and stock levels to support efficient order fulfillment
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure parts availability for repairs and maintenance
- Support marketing efforts by promoting parts specials or new product offerings to customers
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensure the showroom and parts department are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Handle order fulfillment efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of parts to customers or technicians
Skills
- Proven dealership experience preferred, with knowledge of automotive repair processes
- Proficiency in Reynolds ERA-Ignite, Microsoft Excel a plus
- Strong retail sales background with excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of marketing strategies related to automotive parts sales
- Basic math skills for order fulfillment, pricing, and inventory calculations
