Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with a strong focus on food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and grow in the food industry is essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Adhere to serving protocols and support food service operations as needed
- Ensure all food handling practices meet health department regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as required
- Passion for the food industry with a desire to develop culinary skills
Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
