The team at Lynxedge Solutions is growing, and we have a new opportunity for an entry-level IT Technician – Tier 1 to join their collaborative technology team in Vancouver, BC. As an IT Technician you will focus on providing front-line technical support to clients including answering calls, troubleshooting common IT issues, and assisting with basic systems maintenance. Your day as an IT Technician may include:
- Answering and triaging incoming client support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Completing password resets, software updates, and antivirus scans
- Supporting network administration and monitoring systems
- Logging and documenting all work accurately
- Assisting with IT setups, installations, and equipment management
Our ideal IT Technician candidate brings:
- Post secondary education in computer networking or a related field is preferred (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems and common applications
- Hands on experience installing and managing IT hardware and software
- Takes direction well and welcomes training opportunities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift 40 pounds and move comfortably in office environments
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one weekend per month) and assist with occasional after-hours work
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
