HELP BUILD AN ATLANTIC CANADIAN SUCCESS STORY
QSA is a 50-year life safety and security company serving hospitals, schools, government facilities, and commercial buildings across Atlantic Canada. We design, install, and support critical infrastructure including nurse call systems, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom, and monitoring systems - systems our communities rely on every day.
We are looking for someone early in their career who is ready to work hard and learn fast. You don’t need a background in sales or safety systems, but you must be intensely curious, competitive, and proactive and you will be helping us build a disciplined sales process that focuses on the ultimate goal: closing new business.
THE ROLE
In this role, your success is driven by a constant cycle of high-volume effort and regular adjustments based on results
The Inputs (The Daily Effort):
- 50+ Outbound Touches Daily: You will spend your days making a high volume of phone calls and sending personalized emails to build your sales pipeline.
- Driving the "Next Step": You are tenacious about following up. You never leave a meeting without a confirmed date for the next action to keep the process moving toward a close.
- Meticulous Tracking: You record every dial, every conversation, and every detail in our tracking systems so our growth is predictable and no customer is ever ignored.
The Feedback Loop (The Adjustment):
- Measuring Your Progress: You will track your success rates - measuring how many calls lead to meetings, and how many meetings lead to quotes - constantly looking for ways with leadership to get better results.
The Ultimate Goal (The Outcome):
- Closing Contracts: All of your effort is focused on signing new service and installation contracts. You are motivated by reaching targets and being rewarded for the business you bring in.
WHO YOU ARE
- You are curious and smart: You naturally want to know "why" things work the way they do. You pick up new information quickly and can explain complex things simply.
- You can "read the room": You are warm and socially aware. You know when to listen, when to ask a question, and how to make people feel comfortable.
- You are proactive: You don’t wait for a perfect set of instructions or "perfect conditions" to act. If you see a problem or an opportunity, you move on it immediately.
- You are disciplined: You enjoy the routine of daily outreach and take ownership of your schedule without needing someone to watch over your shoulder.
- You are helpful and low-ego: You care more about the team succeeding and the customer being safe than who gets the credit.
THE BASICS
- Experience: Previous sales experience is a definite asset, but it is not required. We value the right attitude and a "hunger" to succeed over a long resume
- Education: A university degree is preferred. We are open to all subjects, but we especially value backgrounds that translate well to sales and communication - such as theatre, entrepreneurship, or similar fields.
- Location: We are flexible on where you live, provided you are based in Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, or Charlottetown.
- Drive: You must have a valid driver’s license and be ready to travel regularly across Atlantic Canada to meet our customers in person.
