Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of scoop (LHD) equipment to support underground production and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate scoop (LHD) equipment in an underground mining environment
- Load, haul, and dump ore or waste material safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in work areas
- Read and follow construction plans while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core with specialty modules, where applicable.
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience operating scoops/LHD’s in an underground mine.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and safety-sensitive testing.
- Mine Rescue certification is considered an asset.
Compensation: $50 - $80 per hour, based on experience, plus daily living allowance and accommodations provided where applicable.
Schedule: 7/7 with 10-hour rotating day and night shifts.
