We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support the estimating and pre-construction team in preparing accurate cost estimates and bid submissions for construction projects. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Support the preparation of bid packages and tender submissions
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing records, and project documentation
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams during pre-construction planning
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project handovers as required
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within submission deadlines
- Perform administrative and reporting duties related to estimating activities
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- 1–2 years of estimating or construction-related experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with estimating software is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites if required
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects
- Familiarity with Ontario building codes and construction practices
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
