Estimator – Demolition

Jay Pinniger of Lock Search Group is partnering with a leading demolition company specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Our client is experiencing rapid growth and looking to add to their estimating team to support their Alberta operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in estimating, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural assessment, cost analysis, and demolition methodologies.
As an Estimator, you will support the estimating and bidding process by preparing accurate cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and site conditions. You will work closely with project managers, site superintendents, and field teams to gather information, review scope, and assist in developing competitive bids. The role involves tracking costs, identifying potential risks, and supporting budget control throughout the project lifecycle. You will also follow established safety standards and contribute to ensuring estimates align with company procedures and regulatory requirements. This position supports project execution and contributes to overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead estimating and bidding processes, ensuring accuracy in cost projections and proposals
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to develop competitive estimates
- Collaborate with site superintendents, foremen, and project teams to ensure efficient project execution
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments to optimize profitability and safety
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and mentorship within the team
- Evaluate and implement advanced demolition methods and cost-saving strategies
- Work closely with senior leadership to enhance operational efficiency and business growth
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or demolition/construction
- Strong knowledge of demolition techniques, safety regulations, and structural assessment
- Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: 70,000 - 90,000 Based on Experience

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
