Physiotherapy Clinic Front Desk Administrator / Medical Office Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Administrator / Office Assistant to join our busy physiotherapy clinic. The successful candidate will play an important role in providing excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the clinic.
This position includes both front-desk administrative responsibilities and clinic support duties, including preparing treatment areas, laundry, equipment organization, and maintaining a clean and tidy clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities: Front Desk and Administrative Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Book, schedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Provide general information to patients and the public
- Process patient billing, payments, and third-party insurance claims
- Calculate charges and maintain accurate payment records
- Obtain, record, and relay information accurately
- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
- Maintain patient records and perform general clerical duties, including filing, sorting, and distributing documents and mail
- Order office supplies and assist with inventory management
Clinical Area Support and Clinic Maintenance
- Prepare treatment areas and treatment beds to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for patient care
- Clean and return exercise and rehabilitation equipment to designated areas after use
- Manage clinic laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Help maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the clinic
- Assist with other general clinic support duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, email, internet use, data entry, and electronic scheduling systems
- Ability to learn and efficiently use clinic management and billing software
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, courteous, and professional communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable performing both administrative and clinic maintenance duties
- Previous experience in a medical, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting is an asset
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
