The Child Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, planning, leading, and evaluating licensed child care programs and services at our Peterborough location. As a new role, the Coordinator will play a key part in establishing a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for children, families, staff, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the licensed child care programs.

Provide regular feedback and input to the Manager.

Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry of Education requirements, and organizational policies.
- Supervise, support, and coach child care staff to ensure quality programming and service delivery
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Support enrollment, registration, attendance tracking, and parent communication.
- Monitor program quality and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
Minimum 2 years of experience in licensed child care, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of CCEYA, Ministry of Education requirements, and best practices in early learning.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
Current Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 6-months)).
