Full Time Private Addiction Rehab Centre requires an Addictions Professional to provide Residential Addictions Counsellor Duties and all Organizational Intervention and coaching to families with loved ones suffering from addiction and in need of inpatient addiction treatment services.
Travelling across Canada is required (Company Paid)
Bonus Pay for all Travelling Interventions & Successful Admissions
Intervention Training methodology provided.
Job Summary:
To provide in-person and online Intervention, Addiction Coaching and Family Services as required to identified families and individuals seeking inpatient residential treatment at CCFA.
Providing onsite residential addiction counselling tasks and supporting the program facilitation schedule as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Addictions Diploma, Social Work or Psychology Equivalent
- Complete CCFA Interventionist Training Program (Provided)
Reports to:
General Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing Immediate Intervention Services for prospective inpatient clients
- Working with the Admissions Team to secure admissions into CCFA program
- Adhering to CCFA Intervention Procedures and Methodologies (Training is provided)
- Providing Family / Intervention online workshops weekly
- Observing all 12 Core Competencies of the Addiction Counsellor (attached)
- Providing individual support counselling, and group counselling using therapeutic techniques drawn from the theoretical frameworks such as family systems, solution-focused, narrative and psychodynamic group work.
- 12 Step and Smart Recovery knowledge
- Ability to facilitate aftercare meetings (Virtual and in-person)
- Preparing Clinical and shift report notes and documenting in the EMR
- Assisting clients to live without depending on addictive substances and activities.
- Assisting clients in developing resident life skills.
- Assist with admissions of new Residents.
- Facilitate group- therapy sessions as needed
- Recording Attendance and Group Participation information
- Support Medical Staff in regards to client care
- Ensure all Residents are adhering to program rules and expectations and de-escalating crisis situations.
- Complete hourly rounds of the facility and property and document outcome of checks in the CCFA Log Book/Observation reports.
- Assist CCFA in addressing general program and Resident needs when requested.
- Follow all Program Policies and Procedures outlined in the Canadian Centre for Addictions Staff Policy Manual.

- Personal Search (Pat Down) Belonging Searches
- Processing payments (admissions, medications, etc)
- Providing support in regard to transportation of residents as required or deemed necessary (Company Vehicle)
