Finish Dozer Operator - Civil Construction

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Finish Dozer Operator to join our construction team. We are a growing civil construction company specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, road building, site development, and commercial/industrial projects throughout Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dozers safely and efficiently on active construction sites
- Complete rough and finish grading to project specifications
- Strip topsoil, backfill trenches, spread material, and maintain site grades
- Read and understand grade stakes, laser levels, and site plans
- Work closely with foremen, grade crews, pipe crews, and surveyors
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Report equipment deficiencies and repair needs promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and OH&S regulations
- Assist with additional site duties as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers in civil construction
- Experience with GPS machine control systems is an asset
- Strong understanding of grading and earthmoving operations
- Ability to work safely around underground utilities and other equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation
- CSTS-20, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance Level II considered assets
- Ability to work long hours during peak construction season
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team attitude
