Position Title: Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Person (Saturday, Sunday, Monday 2:00pm to 10:00pm)
Position Summary
This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $ 21.84 per hour
Hotel Maintenance Person is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues within the scope of training and qualifications.
- Maintain lighting, doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and minor renovations as required.
- Ensure hotel grounds, parking areas, and exterior spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Follow all health, safety, and workplace regulations.
- Assist with emergency situations, including fire alarms, power outages, and other property-related incidents.
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, building operations, or hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Schedule
- Part-time position, approximately 16–24 hours per week.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
