Job Description
The Exam Proctor / Test Administrator is responsible for the administration, organization, and smooth delivery of examinations in accordance with testing body rules, regulations, and security requirements. This position helps ensure a professional, secure, and positive testing environment that enables candidates to perform at their best.
This is a Part-time or Casual position. Examinations are conducted throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, depending on operational requirements and testing schedules. Candidates must have flexible availability and be able to work shifts ranging from six to eight hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure the fair and secure conduct of examinations while monitoring candidates in accordance with testing regulations.
- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of test centres, including computers, headphones, signage, labels, and other administrative requirements.
- Distribute and collect examination materials as required.
- Follow all testing body rules, policies, procedures, and security requirements.
- Report incidents, irregularities, and breaches of examination procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all examination materials and candidate information.
- Provide professional customer service and support to candidates during test-day operations.
- Work collaboratively with test centre staff to ensure examinations are delivered efficiently and according to established procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- A competent level of English communication.
- Successful completion of Secondary/High School Diploma.
- Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of examination materials.
- Understanding of examination procedures, testing protocols, and assessment requirements.
- Dependability, reliability, and punctuality.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Appreciation and understanding of different cultural communication styles.
- Ability to work in a professional, fast-paced environment while following strict procedures.
Requirements
- Previous examination administration, invigilation, proctoring, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- University Degree in English, Business, Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle are considered an asset.
