JOB TYPE: PERMANENT FULL TIME (Mon to Fri 8:30am - 5pm - no weekends)
EXPERIENCE: Red Seal Certified Journeyman (may consider a skilled 3rd year apprentice)
COMPENSATION: COMPETITIVE !! (above provinicial average) $40 -$45 based on skills & experience PLUS extensive shop benefits package (extended medical, dental, vision & life insurance, coveralls/boots, parts discount, shop usage and more)
-also DRAG RACING opportunities, have spare car needing a driver
Our team is consistently busy and taking on new challenges. We do general service and repair on most makes and models of passenger vehicles, light to medium duty trucks and RV repair & service (drivetrain) plus HOT RODS
Since our opening in 2008, we have established a strong reputation of quality work and excellent customer service. We are looking for a talented automotive technician that likes working with people, wanting a long-term position with our company and has compassion for the trade.
SKILLS:
-STRONG GENERAL MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE!
-Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot correctly
-Sound knowledge of computerized diagnostic equipment
-Able to work independently and as part of a team
-Helps create a safe work environment, possesses a POSITIVE work ethic
-Exceptional customer service focus
-Able to make sound recommendations and use common sense
-Quick to learn automotive computer software
-Physically able to perform mechanic duties which requires daily lifting
-Experience on tire machine, balancer an asset
REQUIREMENTS:
-Valid Red Seal Trade Certificate or currently enrolled in trades school
-Automotive diagnosing experience
-Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and a clean drivers abstract.
-Must have basic tools & steel-toed work boots
-WHMIS cert an asset
-Positive attitude & passion for the trade
-Not afraid to work outside
