Wilderman Medical Clinic (WMC) is seeking to hire a* Casual Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)/ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (in good standing), leading to Part-Time . The shift starts at 6:30 am or 9:00 am, and you should be available to work on weekends. WMC is a multidisciplinary clinic that treats both chronic and acute pain caused by injuries and medical conditions. The successful candidate will have at least two years* of experience working directly with patients and administering IV infusions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtaining vital signs and monitoring patients during injections
- Administering IV, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections under the supervision of the physician
- Performing & handling phlebotomy and other specimen collection.
- Providing direct nursing care to the patients under the supervision of a physician
- Documenting procedures for each patient with confidentiality
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
Skills & Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BLS/CPR certificate
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Must have two years of experience of administerting IV infusion
- Ability to prioritize, communicates instructions, and relay information to personnel, patients, and family
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with efficiency and accuracy
- Proficient in English with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
