Role Mandate:
Leads the strategy, design, and optimization of customer growth initiatives and investment offers to drive acquisition, productivity, and ROI across Retail Investments. Owns a unified commercial engine connecting growth strategy, offer design, and channel performance to deliver scalable, measurable outcomes across priority segments.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Customer Growth Strategy & Planning
- Define integrated growth strategies aligned to Acquisition and priorities across key segments
- Build and manage a multi-year roadmap of offers and growth initiatives
- Identify trade-offs across growth, profitability, and capacity to inform prioritization
- Develop business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
2. Offer Strategy, Design & Execution
- Design and evolve the investment offer shelf across segments and channels
- Lead offer valuation, test design, and pilot execution in partnership with Analytics
- Ensure offers are scalable, compliant, and operationally executable
- Oversee integration into execution platforms (e.g., OMP, campaign delivery channels)
3. Channel Performance & Activation
- Optimize performance across priority sales channels (e.g., Financial Planners, Branch network, partner channels)
- Lead strategy for demand generation, lead allocation, and channel capacity optimization
- Drive improvements in how opportunities are routed, prioritized, and actioned across channels
- Support channel-specific initiatives (e.g., Branch activation, FP lead strategy) with flexibility based on evolving priorities
4. Performance Optimization & Insights
- Own performance tracking across offers and channels (conversion, ROI, productivity)
- Establish and scale test-and-learn frameworks to continuously improve outcomes
- Translate insights into actionable strategy adjustments in partnership with Analytics
- Monitor performance by segment and channel to inform investment decisions
5. Governance & Cross-Functional Integration
- Establish governance, decision frameworks, and operating cadence for offers and growth initiatives
- Partner closely with Analytics, Sales Distribution Channel leads, Marketing, and Compliance to ensure alignment
- Ensure consistency across strategy, execution, and measurement
- Act as a central point of accountability for commercial performance levers
Qualifications:
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary education in a related field
- Strong background in strategy, growth initiatives, or commercial performance management
- Experience in data-driven decision making, performance optimization, and testing frameworks
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
$94,600.00 - $176,000.00
Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
