Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Legal Assistant to support our legal team in managing real estate transactions and related legal documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, legal drafting abilities, and proficiency with legal research tools. Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, proofreading, and reviewing legal documents related to real estate transactions
- Conduct research using LexisNexis and other legal research platforms to support case preparation
- Manage and organize case files using iManage or similar document management systems
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of legal documents and client information
- Support project management tasks to ensure timely completion of transaction milestones
- Conduct interviews with clients or stakeholders as needed for case gathering
- Draft legal correspondence, reports, and other documentation with precision and clarity
- Handle filing of legal documents both electronically and physically in accordance with firm procedures
- Provide clerical support including answering phones with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars
Skills
- Proven experience in administrative roles within a legal or real estate environment
- Strong proofreading, writing, and legal drafting skills
- Familiarity with LexisNexis or similar legal research tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with project management practices in a professional setting
- Proficiency with iManage or comparable document management systems
- Effective research skills to gather relevant legal information efficiently
- Data entry accuracy and attention to detail in maintaining records
- Good clerical experience including filing, document preparation, and correspondence handling
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Pay: $30,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
