Job Description:
We are seeking to hire a reliable and hardworking yard labourer, closing loader operator to join our team. The main objective of this position is to maintain the yard/plant area and operate the loader as required.
Job Type: Seasonal
Responsibilities:
- Perform general yard labour and housekeeping duties
- Operate a loader when required
- Performs general maintenance on loader as well as scheduled tasks ie. Greasing
- Complete equipment checks and report maintenance concerns
- Ensures that the plant has an adequate supply of aggregates
- Assists maintenance staff with truck and plant upkeep as required
- Assists with any heavy duties requiring the operation of a loader ie. Snow removal, movement of supplies etc.
- Performs other duties as requested
- General upkeep of roadways and aggregate stockpiles in yard
- Strip and stack blocks.
- Assists in yard maintenance tasks
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Qualifications
- Previous labour or construction experience considered an asset
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work
- Loader experience preferred
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong work ethic and safety concious attitude
