Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Program Leader to oversee and facilitate engaging creative activities for young children. The ideal candidate will be able to champion fun activities, possess strong leadership skills, and have experience working with children. This role involves planning, implementing, and supervising various art programs designed to foster learning and growth in a nurturing environment. The Program Leader will play a vital role in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating atmosphere for children to thrive.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate art activities and lesson plans that align with curriculum goals.
- Lead group activities, ensuring all children are engaged and included.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate program schedules and special events.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies to support children's development.
- Clean up and prep of materials needed for day to day activities
Experience
- Prior experience in teaching, or working with children is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging activities tailored to young learners.
- Valid Vulnerable Persons Check
- Experience with children of diverse backgrounds and needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, parents, and guardians are essential. Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
