Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Ice Cream Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving ice cream and related treats, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn.
Duties
- Serve ice cream and other desserts to customers in a timely and friendly manner
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections and upselling additional items to enhance their experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and serving stations
- Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and serving
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve all guests efficiently
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or cashiering preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Good time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Must be +16 years old.
