Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with consistency, attention to detail, and timeliness
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure health standards are met
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Adhere to portion control and presentation standards for all dishes served
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with customer service standards in a food service setting
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to quality and safety standards
