Job Summary
Burger Theory, located within the Holiday Inn Oakville @ Bronte, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role requires evening and weekend availability and is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume casual dining environment.
The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation and execution of menu items in a timely and consistent manner, with a strong focus on quality, presentation, and food safety standards. Our menu features a focus on burgers and wings, requiring efficiency and attention to detail during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipe and presentation standards
- Maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service periods
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and brand standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced casual restaurant or bar environment
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a hotel kitchen or banquet environment is considered an asset, but not required
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
Compensation
- Expected Wage: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour
