We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our vibrant Indian restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes with attention to authenticity and presentation
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in flavor and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Serve dishes promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation techniques specific to Indian cuisine
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of serving practices and customer service principles is a plus
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence
