About Together We Grow
Together We Grow Montessori School is a new Montessori Casa program preparing to open in Vancouver’s West Broadway community. Our school will serve children ages 2.5 to 5 in thoughtfully prepared, mixed-age Montessori classrooms.

We are currently working toward a January 2027 opening, subject to the completion of construction and licensing approvals.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and compassionate Child Care Manager / Centre Administrator to support the successful opening and ongoing operation of our school.
Working closely with the Owner/Principal, the Manager will oversee the school’s day-to-day administration, support educators, communicate with families, and help ensure that all operational practices meet licensing and regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between administration, staff leadership, family communication, admissions support, and classroom coverage when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the child care centre
- Support the Owner/Principal with pre-opening planning and operational setup
- Help ensure compliance with BC child care legislation, licensing requirements, VCH expectations, and school policies
- Maintain accurate and confidential child, family, staff, attendance, health, safety, and licensing records
- Coordinate staff schedules, breaks, classroom coverage, and substitute arrangements
- Support employee recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, and professional development
- Monitor staff-to-child ratios and provide classroom coverage when required
- Respond professionally and compassionately to family inquiries, concerns, and feedback
- Coordinate school tours, enrollment inquiries, admissions follow-up, and family onboarding
- Support emergency preparedness, incident reporting, staff training, and health and safety procedures
- Assist with staff meetings, performance support, and team communication
- Help create a calm, respectful, organized, and collaborative workplace culture
- Work closely with the Owner/Principal on school priorities, operations, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Valid British Columbia Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Current Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before employment
- Minimum three years of experience in a licensed early learning or child care setting
- Previous experience as a Child Care Manager, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Program Coordinator, or Lead Educator
- Strong knowledge of BC child care licensing requirements and operational practices
- Demonstrated experience supporting educators and communicating with families
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Ability to use email, shared calendars, digital records, and common office software
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Ability to provide satisfactory professional references and complete a Criminal Record Check
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in licensed child care
- Previous involvement in opening or establishing a new child care centre
- Montessori training or experience working in a Montessori environment
- Experience with enrollment, parent tours, staff scheduling, licensing inspections, and policy implementation
- Additional early childhood credentials or leadership training

Start Date
Regular full-time employment is anticipated to begin closer to the school’s opening. Limited paid pre-opening planning, training, and orientation may be available earlier by mutual agreement.
