Cambrian College’s Planning, Institutional Research, and Quality department has an immediate requirement for a Data and Quality Assurance Analyst on a full-time basis.

The Data and Quality Assurance Analyst advances institutional planning, quality, and excellence by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, analysis, and reporting of data that informs strategic decision making and performance measurement. Working closely with the Manager, Quality Assurance the Data and Quality Assurance Analyst’s duties include:

Supporting institutional reporting requirements related to Ministry accountability, performance metrics, audits, program reviews, and quality assurance processes.

Providing quality assurance support for academic processes (e.g., course outlines, program standards, program plans, program development, program review).

Supporting the Manager, Chair, and Dean in the preparation of institutional reports for senior leadership, the Board, the Ministry, and external parties.

Developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools using platforms such as Microsoft Power BI to support institutional planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.

Automating and streamlining reporting processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual workload, and minimize duplication across departments.

Collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting institutional data to support quality assurance, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborating with academic and service departments to identify reporting needs, performance indicators, and institutional data requirements.

Translating complex institutional data into clear, meaningful, and actionable insights for teams, leadership, and decision-makers.

Supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, standards, and related documentation to ensure institutional compliance and promote best practices.

Preparing documentation, including process maps, workflows, visualizations, and flow charts to support quality assurance processes and promote understanding across the institution.
Required:

Must have a Post-Graduate Degree (e.g., Masters Degree or 4-year Bachelors Degree + professional certifications, or equivalent) in Data Analytics or statistics, Business Analytics, Research Methods, Quality Management, or a related discipline. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with the application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).

Minimum of three years’ experience in data analysis, quality improvement, process management, project management, or equivalent.

Experience in developing dashboards and reporting tools.

Strong attention to detail in producing work with a high level of accuracy.

Excellent time management and project management skills.

Self-directed and resourceful with demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism, discretion, diplomacy, and tact.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to initiate, prioritize, track multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Additional Assets/Preferred:

Data visualization (Power BI), advanced Excel, and experience with other reporting tools

Knowledge of the college system, key issues and trends of the sector, college operations, and academic processes is considered an asset
