Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Christian Daycare Director to lead our vibrant early childhood education center in Airdrie. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, foster a nurturing environment rooted in Christian values, and ensure the safety and development of all children. This leadership role requires a strong background in early childhood education, caregiving, and experience working with children, including those with special needs. The Director will play a vital role in creating an engaging, faith-based atmosphere that promotes learning, growth, and spiritual development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily daycare operations, ensuring compliance with licensing, fire, and health/safety standards
- Develop and implement educational programs aligned with Christian principles and early childhood education best practices
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Foster a caring and inclusive environment for children with diverse needs, including those with varying needs and abilities
- Collaborate with parents to support children's developmental progress and address individual needs
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, health, safety, and developmental milestones
- Oversee curriculum planning that incorporates faith-based activities and teachings
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through vigilant supervision and adherence to policies
- Promote the daycare within the community to encourage enrollment and engagement
Requirements
- Level 3 ECE
- 1st Aid & CPR
- Clean criminal record check
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Strong background in caregiving, teaching, or child development
- Knowledge of Christian teachings and commitment to integrating faith into daily activities (Please provide a letter from your Christian pastor or leadership)
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community members
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes spiritual growth and learning
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their overall development
Pay: $3,800.00 per month
