Alcon Contracting is a growing logging and land clearing company operating throughout Central Alberta.
We are looking for a dependable Class 1 Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on position that includes log hauling, self-loader operation, equipment transportation, basic maintenance, and support for logging and land clearing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 trucks hauling logs, equipment, and materials
- Operate a self-loading log truck
- Load and unload logs using truck-mounted loader
- Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist with equipment moves and job site setup
- Support logging and land clearing operations as required
- Work safely in rural and remote locations
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to travel throughout Alberta
- Must have reliable personal transportation. Job sites are typically located up to one hour from Red Deer and surrounding communities.
Assets:
- Experience with self-loaders
- Logging or forestry experience
- Heavy equipment operating experience
