Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves engaging with children in a classroom setting, implementing educational activities, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Early Childhood Educator will play a crucial role in shaping the early learning experiences of children and ensuring that each child feels valued and encouraged.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate emergent curriculum that promotes learning through play, exploration, and supports each child's development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Provide leadership in classroom management, ensuring a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support children with varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Utilize technology for classroom activities and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities within the classroom environment.
- Knowledge of the Alberta FLIGHT curriculum framework is an asset.

- Current Standard First Aid and Infant Child CPR
- Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Record Check
