Independent cabinet/closet installer and finish carpentry subcontractor

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Independent cabinet/closet installer and finish carpentry subcontractor to support ongoing residential and commercial renovation projects across the Greater Toronto Area.
This role is ideal for professionals experienced in cabinet/closet installation and finish carpentry, delivering high-quality results in fast-paced renovation environments. While the role is currently for subcontractors on a project-by-project basis, there is an opportunity for full-time hours as the business grows.
Scope of Work:
The subcontractor will be responsible for cabinet installation and finish carpentry scopes, including but not limited to:
- Reading layouts, drawings and install plans
- Installation of closets, cabinets and shelving systems
- Installation of fillers, panels and trim as required
- Hardware installation (handles, roll-out shelves, adjustments)
- Light modifications and scribing for proper fit
- Ensuring a clean, professional finish suitable for final turnover
- Responsive, transparent two-way communication with territory owner as required
Payment Structure:
- Pre-agreed-upon, hourly rate with a 4 hour per day minimum.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cabinet installation and finish carpentry
- Experience reading layouts and working with standard cabinet systems
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
- Ability to complete installs efficiently and meet project deadlines (communicate challenges/delays with the territory owner as needed)
- Valid WSIB coverage and general liability insurance
- Own tools (install tools, levels, drills,), PPE and transportation
- Access to/ownership of a vehicle capable of delivery is strongly preferred
- Ability to work in occupied and vacant units professionally; solid communication skills

This position is located in the GTA. We are looking for a customer service-oriented part time installer to work for the Stor-X Etobicoke/Vaughan territory, but jobs can be available across the GTA.
