Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager of District Mental Health and Substance Use Health Services, the OSP Clinical Therapist will provide therapy using a variety of modalities within Mental Health and Substance Use Health Services. The clinician must have substantial experience providing clinical assessments and subsequent psychotherapy. Duties include but are not limited to administering and analyzing screening and assessment tools; performing assessments and intensive therapy for individuals, families and groups; crisis intervention; research; and program consultations. Through partnership with St. Joseph's OSP Program, clinical consultation will be provided by St. Joseph's OSP Program. This does not include signing off on Supervision hours for educational purposes. This will be required to take place outside of regular work hours.
The candidate must be able to conduct themselves professionally and in compliance with Ethical Guidelines. The OSP clinical therapist/ Cultural Practitioner will ensure the provision of cultural and clinical best practices that are consistent with the vision, mission and core values established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. This position will require travel to the District as well as facilitating Groups in the District. We encourage candidates with extensive Indigenous Cultural knowledge and experience to apply.
Qualifications and Requirements:

A Master of Social Work or Psychology degree is required

Eligible for supervised practiced licensing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario or Ontario College of Social Service Workers and Social Workers

Five or more years in providing psychotherapy and evidence-based treatment and interventions (DBT, CBT, behavior therapy)

Substantial experience utilizing a variety of treatment modalities in the field of Mental Health and Substance Use Health Services particularly relating to Anishinabek clients

Additional assessment courses and experience is preferred.
Hours of Work: 32.5 weekly
