A Service-Driven Retail 3PL organization is looking for a Forklift Reach Driver for its distribution center in our Oakville facility. Afternoon Shift (4pm to 12:30 am)
Job Duties:
- Work in a team environment and be a team player
- Understand the company’s quality system, how it works and how you affect the quality system
- Understand and implement the company’s Quality Policy
- Work in a safe manner
- Complete safety checks at the start of your shift on the Reach Truck and operate the equipment in a safe manner
- Check and follow shipping instructions
- Locate orders in the warehouse
- Ensure all units are identified
- Check counts and number of units
- Check pallet instructions
- Correct any non-conformances before loading
- Initial all shipping critical quality checks on the hard copy
- Ensure pallets are in good repair and place units on pallets as required
- Stack and store units and record location of storage on RF Guns & or hard copy
- Will be required to do ongoing training and license upgrades on Reach Truck and Cherry Picker.
- Report all problems to your Supervisor/Manager when they occur
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
- Abide by all plant rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company
Qualifications:
- Previous Forklift experience required and must have a valid Reach Truck license
- Must have good communication skills
- Must participate fully in Safety meetings
- Regular attendance required
- Must have an under stand of how RF guns operate.
