The Production Associate (Sewing, Material and Cutting) is responsible for overseeing production setup, organizing materials, ensuring smooth processes, and conducting final inspections and in-line quality control. This role contributes to the continuity and efficiency of operations by ensuring that all materials, components, and workstations are physically prepared and organized before and during production. The goal is to maintain the smooth flow of processes, their stability, and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep production moving by preparing materials and supplying workstations
- Move, organize, and prepare fabrics and components (including lifting loads and accessing overhead storage)
- Check product quality, identify defects, and assist with finishing (inspection, folding, packaging)

Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Organization
- Move and transport materials, including heavy loads, to support production operations.
- Retrieve and store materials in designated storage areas, including high shelving, using appropriate equipment and ladders.
- Prepare fabric rolls for the cutting process.
- Transport cut products (bags) from storage to the sewing workshop and designated shelving.
In-Line Quality Control
- Perform in-line quality inspections before products move to the next production stage.
- Identify and promptly report defects and non-conformities.
- Conduct hourly inspections of production bins to ensure quality meets MINI TIPI standards and document any errors.
- Complete the finished product process, including final inspection, folding, and bagging.
- Provide support on the cutting or sewing production line as needed.
Workspace, Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean and organized production area and workstations, including sweeping and waste removal.
- Keep aisles, walkways, and emergency exits clear at all times.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to safe material handling procedures and immediately report any hazards or equipment damage to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Work ExperienceRequirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 22 kg (50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and adhere to standardized procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Previous experience in a cutting and sewing environment, manufacturing, or production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture.
- Familiarity with quality control or product inspection processes.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and the safe use of equipment (e.g., ladders and basic tools).
- Ability to communicate in French or English (bilingualism is considered an asset).

WORKING CONDITIONS and ADVANTAGES
