Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Rock Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty rock trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and safety. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation will be vital in supporting our projects and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties
- Safely operate rock trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, and rocks around construction sites
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the truck and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Coordinate with site supervisors to determine loading and unloading locations
- Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drills as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of materials transported, fuel consumption, and equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Support paving operations by providing material transport for road construction projects
Qualifications
- Must have CSO , First Aid tickets
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving environments
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery including loader operation, grader operation, and paving equipment
- Construction experience is highly preferred for understanding project workflows and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
