An opportunity to join the Unit 42 Foothills Medical Center Gynecology & Oncology nursing team working within the Collaborative Care nursing model. We strive to provide safe, compassionate, patient and family centered care, specializing in woman’s health. Working to full scope of practice, the Licensed Practice Nurse - Unit 42 provides nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients to promote, maintain and restore health. The role includes patient handling and lifting, as well as performing clinical skills and specialized clinical competencies independently for the patient population.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent Med/surgical experience. CLHA advanced authorizations listed on practice permit: Medication Administration via a Central Line (CVC, PICC, or IVAD). Administering Parenteral Nutrition.
Preferred Qualifications:
A commitment to Women's health and they gynecology patient population.
