Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting, treating, and preventing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Prior experience with sales, hand tools, machinery, or power tools is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on pest management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest problems and entry points
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using industry-standard methods and equipment
- Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records of treatments performed and follow-up schedules
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively
- Use sales skills to recommend additional services or products when appropriate
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during application processes
- Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pest control, sales, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery is advantageous
- Ability to operate various equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and education
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
- Willingness to learn industry best practices and safety procedures
