Job Overview
Solution Security Protection Services is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Guards to join our growing team. We are currently looking for candidates with shopping mall security, retail security, community/public housing security, or similar high-public-contact security experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, shoppers, visitors, clients, and staff while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires individuals who can confidently handle conflict, de-escalate difficult situations, complete thorough documentation, and maintain a highly visible security presence.

Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Shopping mall security
- Retail loss prevention or retail security
- Public or community housing security
- Residential apartment security
- High-rise residential security
- Mobile patrol security
- Customer service in high-volume public environments
- CCTV monitoring and surveillance operations
Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols of assigned properties.
- Monitor CCTV systems and security technology.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and calls for service.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and promote safety.
- Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining positive customer relations.
- Assist tenants, shoppers, visitors, contractors, and staff with information and directions.
- Respond to disturbances, trespassing, thefts, vandalism, and other security concerns.
- De-escalate confrontational situations using conflict resolution techniques.
- Coordinate with police, fire, EMS, and property management when required.
- Control access to restricted areas and verify visitor credentials.
- Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity reports.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, and safety concerns.
- Assist with crowd management during busy periods or special events.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong report writing abilities
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong observation and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable transportation is considered an asset
- Valid G Class Driver's Licence is considered an asset

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform regular interior and exterior patrols
