Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Mobile Patrol Officer to ensure the safety and security of designated premises. This role involves patrolling assigned areas via vehicle or on foot, monitoring for suspicious activity, and maintaining a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement or security, with strong observational skills and a commitment to safeguarding property and personnel. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned locations using company vehicles or on foot to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies, providing appropriate action and documentation.
- Perform detailed inspections of premises, checking for unauthorized access, safety hazards, or suspicious behavior.
- Document all patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting findings to management.
- Engage with staff and visitors professionally, providing assistance when needed and maintaining a visible security presence.
- Follow established protocols for incident response, including contacting law enforcement when necessary.
Requirements
- Class 5 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- BC Security Workers License
- Prior experience in security and mobile is preferred.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity quickly.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license is required for patrol duties involving vehicle use.
- Must be physically capable of patrolling large areas on foot or by vehicle for extended periods.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
- Must pass background checks and any required licensing or certification processes relevant to security roles.
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
