Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, and trucks.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Operate vehicles safely during repairs or inspections when necessary
- Repair or replace electrical components and systems within vehicles or machinery
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings effectively to customers or team members
- Assist in assembly or installation of mechanical systems as needed
- Follow safety protocols for heavy lifting, commercial operation, and use of maintenance tools
Requirements
- Must hold 310S certification and have sufficient experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership/automotive shop experience is required
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems, HVAC, welding, electrical systems, and farm machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work with heavy equipment or industrial machinery
- Experience with welding or fabrication is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair is required
