Overview
We are seeking a caring and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for families.
Due to the unique nature of the parents job, candidates must be extremely flexible schedule wise, work weeeknds as well as open to being on call. Somedays the job may require being with the children in a rural location.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and capable of creating a safe and engaging environment for children of various ages. This role involves assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and fostering developmental activities. Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities is a plus, along with skills in caregiving, teaching, and meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
- being able to work along side a suspicious cat
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light cleaning tasks related to childcare
- Provide care and support for children with special needs or disabilities as required
- Encourage educational activities, reading, and creative play to stimulate growth
- Ensure children's safety at all times by monitoring their activities closely
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a caregiving or nanny role preferred. 3 years at least
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Skills in cooking, meal preparation, and light cleaning are beneficial
- Background in teaching or caregiving enhances ability to support child development effectively
- Demonstrated patience, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
