The ideal candidate is responsible, well-organized, and able to work independently in a self-directed environment. Must demonstrate strong leadership, possess excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
This position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of fire extinguishers
- Travel to client sites to perform on-site services
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide quotes for new extinguishers and safety supplies
- Deliver products to customers when needed
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Ensure all work complies with local fire codes and standards
- Communicate service results and recommendations to clients
- Schedule fire extinguisher service appointments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Certification in fire extinguisher inspection and servicing (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA) is an asset
- Previous experience in fire protection, safety equipment, or a related field (preferred)
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (typically up to 50 lbs / 23 kg)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment
